Accessing the Lifecycle Stages of a Service
FromtheServicespage,youcanaccesstheLifecycletabtoworkwithstagesofa
service.Youcanviewthestages(forexample,Stage1:Development)and
configurationswithineachstage.Forinformationaboutconfigurationoperationsfrom
theLifecycletab,see“A c c e s s i n g Configurations”onpage 119.
Stageswithakeyicon
indicatestageswithrestrictedaccess.Thisrestrictionissetinthe
propertiesofastage.
To access the lifecycle stages of a service
1Fromtheleftpane,clickServices.
2MovethepointerovertheservicenameandchooseDetailsfromthemenu.
Editing Stages of a Service
Stage Manageradministratorsandserviceadministratorscanadd,delete,orchange
thestageorderforaservice.
To edit stages
1Fromtheleftpane,clickServices.
2MovethepointerovertheservicenameandchooseDetailsfromthemenu.
3ClicktheEditStagesbuttonandviewthestagesoftheservice,resourcepool
associatedwith
eachstage,deployedconfigurations,totalnumberof
configurations,deployedvirtualmachines,andtotalnumberofvirtualmachines.
4Toadjusttheorderofstages,movethepointeroverastagenameandchooseMove
uporMovedownfromthemenu.
5Todeleteastage,movethepointeroverastagename,choose
Deletefromthe
menu,andconfirmthedeletion.
Youcanonlydeleteemptystages.Forinformationaboutdeletingconfigurations
inastage,see“DeletingConfigurations”onpage 124.
6Toaddanewstage,clickNewStage:
aEnterthenameofthestage.
bSpecifywhethertorestrictstageaccesstoStage Manageradministratorsand
service
administrators.
Forexample,youmightwanttopreventdevelopmentorQAserviceusers
fromaccessingdeliverablesforproduction.
